Biography:
Fabián Segarra Rodríguez was born on July 26, 2002, in the City of San Gérman Puerto Rico and raised in the West Region of Puerto Rico. Fabián obtained his high school diploma at Residential Center of Educational Opportunities Mayagüez (CROEM) where he developed a passion for life-sciences and research. This would eventually transition to his current perusal of an Industrial Biotechnology Bachelors Degree Major at the University of Puerto at Mayagüez (UPRM).

Industrial Biotechnology Bachelor's Degree
The Industrial Biotechnology Program is an interdisciplinary program that combines mathematics, science, and engineering. The curriculum is designed to be completed in 5 years. As part of the curriculum, the student must do the Industrial Practice for one semester. Upon completion of their degree, the student has the option of continuing graduate studies and/or going directly to the industry to work.
